I saw on IG when it was Amy's bday and then, I got her for Nov. PTEx. I had another idea all set for her, but threw this together quick, as her bday had passed by the time the list was sent.
Don't know if you can make out the original name, but I didn't want to toss this env., so I tried to repurpose into a celebratory one.
However, I flipped it, so it looked more like a design, than a messed up name. (I also added script lettering within with a white Posca.)
BUT because it was flipped, when I addressed the back, and turned it back over to add postage, you can see from the top photo that I didn't even look at the design to add the stamp in the correct spot. (I just saw that blank opening, and stuck it there -- not even realizing her name was upside down.) #autopilot
When I saw my error, it was face-palm time. Plus, I hate wasting stamps. BUT I felt ok about adding another, as 1) I don't know if the po will be irritated with the addressing and 1st stamp placement and 2) not sure if I need extra postage anyway, as I sent her some watercolor envelopes (she told me her daughter gave her some wc's for a gift).
Lesson learned: SLOW DOWN (yeah, right!) and more importantly, forget about salvaging envelopes (well, this one anyway), as 1) I have plenty of red env.'s, and 2) I have plenty of env.'s period.
I do though hate ruining a good/fun color env., so I probably will still try to salvage some. But this one could have been given a big pass.
As always, hope she likes!
