Misc. Cmas

Did these a few years ago. So many ways to do, and also can be used for b-day as well as New Year's.

Now looking at them, they don't seem that great to me. Oh well. A for attempt!

 

Cmas to Judy H

Had this matching set in my Cmas folder and decided to send to Judy this year. 

Stamp really doesn't match but oh well! (Love these lovely little elves!)

Also, tried some pp K Caps on the back!

 

Blue Festive to Lina & Shannon

I'm having such fun with my altered K Caps! (Roman K Caps?)

No idea who orig. artist is though.  :/

Did a blue theme trying to match the blue in the stamp (but since I needed an additional stamp, I also could have done red).

and the back (Started out blue as there was leftover ink) then turned to green.

I also did a similar one to Grace (who also sent me bday wishes AND who also has a Dec. bday!) but I tried to do hers in more of a tree shape to match the stamp (a bit of a fail though. 😔)

Jean sent me a belated bday card (I got it a week later, so it felt as though my bday was extended!) so here is my ty to her.

Sadly, the K Caps didn't turn out (A clashes with the H) -- waaaa. Maybe if I had angled. (Learning opp!)

 

Elf to my oldest

A bit of a different take on the Elf theme!

Last year, when attending Julie W.'s online holiday party, I sketched out my son's name, trying to be creative with the A and I noticed that it resembled an elf foot (shoe). So, I knew I'd be doing something similar for him with it this C'mas!

Love how I could make the X match too.

The env. started out as just a design and I thought I'd just add a name but nothing fancy. But his name could be bigger as a design itself. I also planned to do a matching insert using the same design as the env. but then I incorporated the Buddy the Elf theme (again, using the legs in the lettering).

And I had to get "funny" on the back!

Hoping he gets a good laugh from it.  😄😆

 

Abstract design to Nava

Did this design a long time ago and loved it so much I couldn't part with it. (Made a matching insert too.) BUT this year, I'm sending to Ms. Nava!

I feel like I messed up her name with my pp uncial. AND the stamp design as I didn't realize I was putting so much in the env. itself. (I'm not good with more than one stamp esp. if I didn't plan it that way).

 

Die Hard to my oldest

Last year I created this free-hand ( https://snailmailingmadness.blogspot.com/2024/12/die-hard-envie-last-min-idea.html ) so this year, i created on the computer. A bit time-consuming, but the red "windows" are better ("cleaner", same size and spaced out better).

I still hand-drew the explosion at the top though! However, no falling guy.

Except for on the back!  :D 😆

holiday tree to Maggie

I did this design in 2022 for my 100 Days of Redos. Finally decided to part with it.

And my darn ink wasn't flowing well, so I messed up her name (wish I had done a ligature with the M and A, as it would have looked better. Sorry Maggie!)

Winter Swap to Stela (SMC)

 I signed up for a 1:1 winter swap in Dec. for the SMC, and I got such lovely, fun goodies from Stela! Hope she liked what all I sent:

Mix of altered uncial and pp for her name.

Again, this is a matching env. & card set from donating.

This first one is a printed set I got for free from donating.

This next one is handmade from the usps catalogue.

I thought the "dot" print heart stamp went great with it.

insert w/another minilope to Amy (I did a gingerbread house to Amy, and of course, after, I thought of the Rudolph nose. So, that's the reason for the addressed mini env!)

The insert was my attempt at a joke from The Office.
