Book leaves to Jessica (Sept PTEx)

In wanting to do fall themes for this month, I decided to continue on with my book leaf art. This one was fairly "easy" as I wanted to match the insert a bit (see below)

 Insert:

This was a project from the 5 day "Simplest Things" challenge last month (in which I didn't post on here, as it wasn't as fun for me). The prompt was "Squiggles" so I did a squiggly line for a "floating, falling" leaf.

"There is magic in the falling leaves of autumn."
(I love this quote!)

SMC Envies (Aug)

Here are a few env.'s sent out this month to the Aug. SMC participants:

This was actually a salvaged env (a Cmas fail) in which the uncial R was already on it. I had saved b/c I was going to cover it up somehow, but instead, i got the idea to do her name using my other markers. I had fun with it, and hope she likes!

Here are the others (the top 2 didn't turn out, so I won't post those separately).

Volunteer envies.

I'm still addressing monthly env.'s for my oldest's workplace, and this month, decided to mix things up.
Before, I was using an xtra fine Posca to letter the names, and this time, got out my brush pens.

Collage of my faves.
I also added sparkle to them with my WoS brush.

Close-ups below:

The env.'s aren't the best quality, so it's impossible to use any tools aside from markers (or they'll bleed and feather.) so unfortunately, no pp work or fun inks.  :/

Oh well! This creates a fun challenge for me!

Misc. Cmas

Here are some extra holiday env.'s sent out, that weren't that special to post on their own, so I'm grouping together!

This first one is a printed set I got for free from donating.

This next one is handmade from the usps catalogue.

I thought the "dot" print heart stamp went great with it.

A minilope and tree.

insert w/another minilope to Amy (I did a gingerbread house to Amy, and of course, after, I thought of the Rudolph nose. So, that's the reason for the addressed mini env!)
The insert was my attempt at a joke from The Office.

Some gift tags.

Small env. & card to Carly, my pers. trainer!

white tree on blk to Maggie

I wanted to do a black env., but it's always tricky with Cmas, so I tried to duplicate this tree below (from years past), However, my attempt was not the best.

Didn't turn out so well, as I used a slant tip Posca vs. my brush marker. (but let's hope she still likes!)

(Fudebiyori brush marker)

I then used the Fudebiyori brush for the card insert, but I liked it so much as B&W, I decided to leave as is vs. adding color.

Close up.

And some mixed ink on the back flap.

another for my non-traditional colors folder!

And MORE blue trees!

I love matching the blue tree stamp!

Mixed it up just a bit for Karen: Did a blue brush tree (Wink of Stella glitter brush).

Closeup of tree. Love how it turned out!

Same design as others:  RW w/metallic ink

Close up of stamp!

Before adding color to tree (I like it just this way too).

Dec. Caps to Nadya

The last of my Pretty Mail Tribe swap.

Although I love how my lettered caps turned out, the name is too crowded. When using bigger env.s, I always feel pressure to fill the whole thing, as there's so much space! (I think 5x7's are the perfect size for me.) So, I obviously didn't plan this out very well.

Back side. Just a tiny tree!

Close up.

Inserts. The tree on the left is an experiment from a few years ago (didn't like), so I added script lettering to it -- not bad! Then, the one on the right is new -- xtra fine pt Posca.
(I love her name on the note! Brush marker)

Flip side of mini tree, with handmade minilope!

And with another insert.
