Red with Celebration stamp (to Phillip)

Since I love the one I did for Grace in January -- with black using my RW -- (https://snailmailingmadness.blogspot.com/2019/01/white-on-red.html) and how it matched the stamp, decided to order more Celebration stamps and use again.

Although no much room for coloring in counters with his name, but I still like how it turned out.: name, colors and stamp.

Cancelled env. he posted on his blog and here are some comments!

"A very nice exchange envelope from Leslie. Loving the coloring and the great lettering to go with the stamp."

"C'est vraiment une belle enveloppe !" (Very Beautiful Envelope!)

"The colored shading is brighter in person compared to the scan. I love the large lettering." (from finn)

"I know it is the contrary, but it seems like the stamp has been designed for this very envelope..." (Mail Adventures)

Pinks Hearts to Cathy

I initially was going to send this to another exchanger (who asked to exchange with me), but have not heard back from them yet, so decided to send to Cathy, as her name was the smallest to fit on it.

Thought I could do her name using a crayola marker, but the pink didn't show up well, so did grey over it and did not like at all. Then decided to add the glitter, and I like how it turned out. By this time though, I had already done her black env. ( https://snailmailingmadness.blogspot.com/2019/02/v-day-to-cathy-o.html ) but didn't want this to go to waste, so am sending her way!

And again, stamp???

(Looking back, should have put the design in a clear env. instead)

Love Stinks.

Got this idea for Feb. envies early in the year, but was unsure of how I would letter them with names & addresses.

Thought about using sheet music, but cannot find any decent online, so am just scripting some of the lyrics.

Hope the recipients find the humor in them!  ;D

Before addressing.

With insert but forgot stamp!

Backside :  Was going to do all the counters in white, but not sure I liked.

Love this but ruined it with name & address. Maybe would work better as an insert.

Recreated with heart stamp.

Brown craft to Maureen

another that was inspired by a Pinterest pin, but again, the white didn't look right, so I added walnut ink over.

No idea what stamp.

Insert I sent to her.

V-Day to Cathy O

I decorated the sheet of paper first, b/4 making it into an env. Used metallic gold ink and red accents. I think I used red gouache for her name.
The card was a messy accident. Decided to turn into a Vday piece as there were some parts that looked like hearts.

No idea on the stamp.

V-Day to Janet (Big heart).

For this I used removable tape, then color pencil for the heart. Did her name alongside the heart at the bottom on both sides, and fancy numbers for the zip. (I love the little heart details in between.)

Forgot to take pic with stamp.

inspired by Rachel Yallop's awesome design strokes. More 3d gems.

Pink flourescent acrylic ink, RW and blue metallic, White brush strokes on blk with primary colors.

Year long to Phawnda

Phawnda organizes a year-long exchange, so I joined. Felt pressure to wow with my env. to her, and although flawed, not bad!

RW, walnut ink and color pencil.
Forgot to take pic with stamp and no idea which I used.

with insert.

I must've done well, as here are her comments (via email):

"Hi Leslie,
Your envelope (and cards) are just delightful! I can tell they were fun to create. Thank you so much for the package of color and sparkle.

I shared your envelope in a class I taught at our local college last Friday (with a few other envelopes to promote interest in handwriting). It was a hit with the students there as well!"

Blessings on your day,
Phawnda
