Simple brush J (to Jean)

I wanted to send Jean a little Thank You for keeping the blog and monthly exchanges going, as I've made a few cyber-friends because of it. I LOVE Snail Mail (I get so thrilled sending to others!), and it's also wonderful to received goodies.

I know she likes simpler things at times, so, beings this was a smaller card & env. (3x4 or so), I decided to do just a plain cap J and keep the rest clean & uncluttered.

I'm always so tempted to add more to fill in that white space, so this was a challenge for me!

Love how the colors went well with the stamp!

Used a Zig metallic fudebiyori brush marker in copper.

Thank you card to "match". (Plain store-bought card where I added 3d design.)

Snowflakes to Maggie (Marker)

Decided to do Maggie's on teal paper, just to mix it up with the stamp.

So mad I forgot to take a pic of the back, as I used some hot pink accents, and it was fun.

Snowflakes (Marker Challenge)

The official 100 Day Challenge starts Feb. 13 on IG, so I've been starting early with my creations.

Here are a few snowflake stamped env.'s with names using my chisel nib silver metallic calligraphy marker.

i'm so mad I cut this wrong. Wish I had cut around the snowflake itself, and overlapped onto the paper.

Snowflake to Janet

I wanted to do another lettered name snowflake to Janet (like I did for Nanski), but was too lazy. (My "MO"!) So, I just did small ones instead, however, I did try to do a makeshift one of the back.

Metallic Zig Fudebiyori brush marker.
Love how the stamp kinda "goes" (hot coffee on a cold day!)

Drawn Caps to Irene (red env.)

This is from the altered drawn caps series (that I discovered during my 100 Days of Redos)

Also included a New Year's card.

Lettered Snowflake to Nanski

This wasn't turning out to my liking, so I kept adding layers. You can see I did her name as the snowflake. Thought the coffee stamp was a bit fitting, beings it's winter and cold (even though I'm a year-round hot coffee consumer!)

With the insert. The tail of the S got messed up (*%$#@!!*& darn pen!!! -- sometimes it drips the ink and I don't know why. Grrrr.) But since the rest of it turned out, I was too irritated to redo.

*My original idea:
I should try to scan this and print out! If it wasn't so expensive, i'd have "professional" cards printed up instead for a lot of my creations.

Another original idea I still have yet to create.

I plan to make more of these env.'s, but just wish I had snowflake stamps to match.

Rub-on Transfer Letters

I've had these letters for ages...no idea where I got them or when, but they've been sitting in my Alpha Stickers folder forever.

I first used them a few years ago on an env. to myself:

*I need to update the pic, as this is a clear env. in which I inserted a black b-day card to myself. Original post:

*UPDATE: Found it!

I got them out again recently, to use on black env.'s. Since I'm running low on certain letters, I have to get a little creative. If you look closely at some (i'll never tell -- haha!) you can see where I've made "makeshift" ones.

I'd love to know if Lina's arrived in-tact.

Have yet to finish and send to Jean.

Again, am wondering if Janet's arrived ok (notice her E). Also, I guess I forgot to take a final pic with a stamp, so i have no idea which I used (but am guessing the dotted Celebrate one, since I sent a New Year's 2022 insert.)

Cmas Thank You's

Every year, i try to send out Thank You's to family members, just to add the extra special personal touch (vs. just an email or text). Plus, it's fun for me to send more snail mail mail art!  😄

Abstract design handmade env. Love how my printing turned out, since I struggle with that.

Need to brag just a bit, as this is so much more pretty in-person.

With insert. Happy with design as well as my lettering!

This one, however, not-so-much. Ick (made last year).

More Cmas Family Env.'s

I had a few lingering ones to get out, so here are late ones.

This time I sprayed the env. with hairspray. Who knows if it worked.

One this one, i used a Zig Fudebiyori Metallic marker, which does not smear (esp. if used on slick paper!)

Can't remember if I commented on the stamps, but really like these!

Plus, for next year, i may try to match our return address labels!

Word Tree to Sharon (PTEx)

Earlier I posted some misc. Cmas envies (Scroll down or  https://snailmailingmadness.blogspot.com/2021/12/misc-cmas-envies.html) and decided to send one of the word trees to Sharon for the Dec. PTEx.

Added her name in gold pp. Cannot remember if I put in an insert.
