Varied Letters to Judy H.

Continuing with my varied lettered trees...

This one is so close, but I messed up the V. Then, the address wasn't lettered as nicely as I wanted (need to work on my uncial!) I also had to use 2 stamps, which I don't like to do, but it's b/c of all the enclosures. (Some mail artists are really clever with multiple stamps, but I'd rather focus on my lettering.)

Name in brush for the letter.

Minilope with embossed tree.

Embossed to Wilson's

I did this one last year too, so decided to send to Jean and George this year. (However, I didn't like how it turned out, so I just included in her other one -- green slime.)

Embossed ghost.

Hard to see the red sparkle.

And an embossed Boo on the back!

Embossed to Jean

happy little accident here!
Jean gave out her middle name again for July's PTEx, so I lettered it above her embossed last name.
However, it's a small env., and I forgot to allow for proper spacing of the stamp, so it went below by the last name. BUT how perfect! Almost as if it was planned that way! (as noted by Jean too -- sometimes "fun" to get her "approval". 😉😁)

Bummed the purples didn't quite match -- grrrr. I tried!
Should have added a green dot for the i above Wilson. (double grrrr.)

C'mas in July!

I get so many ideas at Christmas time, and never can use them all, so I end up doing Cmas in July! (I just hope the recipients are ok with it!)  😆

I decided to just group them all together vs. indiv. posts.

This is the backside of Juliana's. (Leave it to Buddy to get us excited for this holiday!) 🎄🎅

Did my good 'ole Rudolph one!

Insert I did for Lina

Saw this on Pinterest and tried to mimic.
Brush lettering (as I'm currently taking Julie W's pointed brush class).

Lina's env. I've had this in my Cmas file for a while, so finally decided to send.

back side.

To Amy.
Again, another I decorated a while ago, but decided to use. Made a tree to match.

LOVE this tree!
Gold callig marker, posca pen

Tree shape name & address for this one. (Bullet tip posca)

Backside. LOVE the watermelon tree!

So, I did for Shannon as well! And an env. to match (I've done this theme before: just search watermelon.)

Watercolor tree.

Insert I've always wanted to do. Used scraps of Cmas papers. (Too labor intensive though!)

more trees. These are trial ones, I put in a collage as an insert.

Crayola gel marker, then script lettering for the background. 3d paint dots.

Another gel marker with script lettering on top.

3d puff paint for the tree.

Another trial piece I did jff (just for fun!), which inspired the pp one on the top right of collage.

Embossed card

Not happy with how Maggie's turned out, but at the same time, not bad either. It's mainly the G's I'm not liking. Thought I was pretty clever with the M fireplace! Wish I had done the E in a more curved fashion to resemble a candy cane better.

Did a word border for her letter: "Spread Joy". I wanted to add more color, but was afraid of ruining.

I'm way overdue sending an env. to Vanessa, so decided to include her! This env. is from my 25 Days of Festive env.'s I did last Cmas. (Die cut and 3d. B nib for name)

Geometric tree for Lynne. Inspired by Julie W's Funky Letters class.

Before (outline)

With Lynne's env. Tried to do her initial's to match.

And finally, a small handmade env. to Nava (w/in her other env.)

St. Patty's theme to Karen

Karen is from my PenPalentines group, and I got the loveliest env. from her. Thought I'd write back to see if she was interested in exchanging regularly. (Plus, I wanted to copy this env. I found on Pinterest! -- https://www.pinterest.com/pin/284993482658637351/ )

Had such fun with this.

Close up. Color pencils and 3d sparkles.

With w/c insert from 2020. (Name on letter didn't quite turn out, as my callig marker is worn.)

Day 15: Snowflakes

I have some big "sponge" snowflake stamps i used on the env.'s below to make a series of snowflake ones Jan 2022. Had fun with them and thought they turned out pretty well!

The only thing with the stamps that can be tricky is the ink if it smears or if there's too much. (case in point below:)

Tried using on blue paper. Not bad. (These were for my 100 Days of Markers challenge.)

Then, last year, I bought some smaller ones. They're fun and lovely, but I need to get some stamp pads. (not diggin' how I did her name... Would letter in pp in I could redo.)

and here's a embossed one from a stencil!
