Cmas env. Redo

I did the bottom env. in 2018,and since then, my script writing has improved immensely (well, at least i think so!) So, for my 100 Days Challenge, I decided to redo this, as it has always bugged me. (Don't you just wish you could go back and fix or redo all your lettering before you shared it?? ) 😏;)

If I end up sending this, I'll prob. just use the good 'ole red heart stamp I love so much!

Ugh, I cringe at all these so much! BUT i must say, I do love the ideas! Love the maker tree about Jean's (but should have used an env. liner) and love the 2 designs on the right.

Flat Brush fun to Janet

 Similar to Jean's ( https://snailmailingmadness.blogspot.com/2021/11/brush-give-thanks-to-jean.html ), I tried writing her name big as a design piece. (But the t got cut off and you can't see her last name b/c of the fold.)

I coulda swore I made an insert to match, but I guess I forgot to take a pic!  😕

Brush "Give Thanks" to Jean

This env. was originally just fun practice with flat brush lettering (prob. trying to emulate something I saw on IG or Pinterest).

Decided to turn it into an env. instea.

Made insert to match.

Got the idea for her name from the insert. (Didn't like how it turned out by just filling in the counters, so I did the opposite! 

You can barely see, but I lettered in pp gold script over.

Marker alpha/letters to Janet

So, this is yet another repurposed env., as I made it years ago (doing a collage-type of alpha lettering). At first was going to mail to myself, but since that never happened, decided to send to janet!

Not the best choice of paper for the center for her address, but enough of a contrast. Can you see where I cut around the J? 

The back was empty so I added the last few letters. Not liking my X or Y, as I lost interest in my creativity/ variety of which styles to use.

Fun insert I sent.

 

"Leaf Lettering" / Feather to Jean.

I cannot remember who gave me these cut outs, but they are so fun to use on envelopes (see the acorn one on Clover's: https://snailmailingmadness.blogspot.com/2021/10/acorn-to-clover-sept-ptex.html )

Didn't think to match the feather til after I started coloring it in. Hoping Jean can't tell.

The reason I wrote "whoops" is because I accidentally lettered the front of it upside down.

When i saw the bottom piece on IG and I could see fun letterforms (Y and E) and since i'm always looking for different ways to letter Janet's name (as well as unique env.'s to send her), thought I'd remake this one to fit her.

Wish I had made my E (and a) as thick as the original. Was still fun to do.
