Fall Theme to Lina (Oct)

For Halloween, sent Lina a "Merry not Scary" envie.

Got this idea last year, so am using for her! (mini owl, mini pumpkin and a leaf, all in pp).
And can I just saw HOW much I LOVE these stamps??? So far, the ones I've used have matched perfect with the env. colors. (think I'm gonna order more)

Metallics on black to Jean

I did a series of these based on some lettering from C Dubosch found on flickr (see below):

You can't see the stamp very well, but it's a Halloween one with the cat. So, I made the O look like a crescent moon. (as well as the dot above the i)

inspo.

insert I did a few years ago. Repeating script boo with bleach. I added a lot to it, as the original was just the script and some colors in the counters:

Before splatters.

Lighter in color.

Backside of env. Tried to emulate a cat I found on Pinterest.

Pink to Nele

I actually created this a few years ago, when I first started exchanging with Nele. I got so many ideas for her name that I had to start a "Nele" folder.

Used bleach on astrobrights paper. Love how it shines, but hate how the N turned out (tail too long).
I got lucky with the stamp though! (I actually did this b/4 these pink ones were issued -- when I had to use the green ones. Which, is probably why I held off sending to her for so long!)

Also enclosed a "Happy 2021!" card to her, which I forgot to photograph.

Close up -- added some gem stickers. Hope they don't fall off!

Imagine Tie-Dye to Janet

In Sept., I came up with an idea called the "Imagine Project" to honor the 40th anniv. of John Lennon's death on Dec. 8. I will post all my creations on my other blog:  , and until that time, you can check out my dailies on my IG account:  https://www.instagram.com/olovey1/

I also did a few envelopes with some leftover Lennon stamps I still had (wish I could buy more, as I keep getting ideas!) and here are the last few I sent out:

I created this card a few years ago (posted on my other blog), and had the tie-dye env. to match. I couldn't come up with a clever way to letter her name (to go with the theme) so I just did this funky folded pen alpha I've been playing with lately.

Bright green to Maureen

This month I decided to do a bleach one for Maureen. At first, I got out my Hiro Poster nib and tried doing in italic, but I'm never happy with how my italic lettering turns out nowadays. So, went back to my good 'ole ruling writer/"Beer Nib" (that's my new name, instead of Cola Pen, as I used my hubby's Coors Light can).

As always, bleach is tricky, especially when it bleeds (and waiting for it to show). Except for the "M", this didn't turn out bad. I added black and pink accents to make it look fun (and a bit "spring-y"?)

I also enclosed a homemade bookmark. Used one of my abstract 3d watercolor pieces. I intentionally left the end undone, as I kind of liked how it looked. Hope she likes!

Bleach on Astrobrights to Penny (Australia)

Was experimenting with how to write her name, and I must've forgot, as I did it differently on the env.  I'd like to send to her, but it's too big to fit. May try scanning onto a letter. (If postage weren't so high, I'd send her a 2nd env.)

Cmas Misc, Decorated Trees

Been adding trees to my envelopes lately, and decided to make cards to match.
Plan to use as Thank You's.

RW w/metallic ink.

some older ones/ideas:
bleach and RW

This one looks like glue, but it's not! Not sure I like.

Found some old 3d glue (wish they still made it), so tried making one using that. Did not turn out.

Fiddling with my chisel markers. (inspired by ruling writer)

Was just playing around with my markers. Added 3d metallic stickers and glitter glue.
