Scary pumpkin face to Zoe

I thought it was Zoe who commented on my original ( https://snailmailingmadness.blogspot.com/search?updated-max=2023-10-14T10:30:00-07:00&max-results=7&start=7&by-date=false ) on IG, but it was Amy. So, I decided to send one her way. (Will make one for Amy next year!)

So proud of this idea! (Do you see the "Boo To You"?)

I debated whether or not to add the dripping at the top, but went ahead and did so. (but it was fine without.)

And my original idea (card insert).

A bit "sad" I'm done with my Spooky mail for this year, but now...time for my holiday themed ones!

"Night" themed Halloween idea

So, I like this idea, however, I was off with my positioning. (see unfolded below)

Originally tried to do for the "Night" theme (for 31 Days of Env.'s), but wasn't liking it, then not enough images for Graveyard prompt. (Plus, I don't like my tree.)

Tried adding texture to the tree. Also, the vulture should be in the tree maybe vs. on the fence.

Going to redo for next year.

Last day of the Bewitching Envelopes Challenge on IG. Had SO much fun with this...cannot wait til next year to create more ideas!

Til then, here is the last prompt. Both are from 2021.

Diff. lighting:

I like elements from both, but each could use improvement. (on the STL one: Love my tree, moon & hand; On Faye's: Love the lettering, vulture, ghost; and on both, proud of my headstones, gate & cross! Need better bats, as well as shading to make it look more nighttime.

I could also easily redo, but alas, no time. SO will do next year!

Day 29: Whimsy Goth

I know what goth is and I know what whimsy is, but I wasn't sure I understood the assignment for both together. I mean, I DO, but I wasn't getting any ideas for env.'s. Day 28: Upcycle

Written on Oct. 23: (***See email message at bottom from Lynne! Absolutely made my day. 😊😊😊)

I'm constantly upcycling ruined env.'s, and this one just happened to be a (happy) accident when trying to create another for Papersource's Bewitching Env.'s Challenge on IG!

Made into Night themed "spooky" by covering with Sumi ink (see vid below). The lettering in the moon is lyrics to "Bad Moon Rising" (CCR).

Before. Was going to use for my Mushroom one (Day 15), but I messed up the lettering. (I started out with italic and India ink, but it wasn't turning out, so I switched to script with a Posca pen, then it didn't match.)

Addressed.

With stamp.

Also, it's Lynne's bday this month, so I sent her a letter vs. card. (Again, proud of my idea!)

I make happy mail b/c I have so much fun being creative with it and using my lettering. It's also fun to get it in the mail, but I'm at a point (and have been for years) where I love sending more so than receiving. Then, to get feedback like this is just so wonderful....makes me happy to make someone else happy.
