New Challenge! (personal)

I'm taking inspo from the 31 Bewitching Env.'s Challenge in October... Have come up with my own 25 Days of Christmas Envelopes for this month. (#25CMASENVS)

Below are the daily prompts, and like the Halloween themed ones, I'll be posting some repeats. However, I'm excited for my new ideas!

 First one goes up tomorrow!

fp to Amy (inspire)

Early Nov. was Amy's b-day (see previous post), but I wanted to spoil her, so in addition to the other 2 I sent already, I decided to send this as well. (I get too excited and can't wait!)

Used my slant tip Parallel and matched colors in stamp.

I did her name this way trying to match the insert a bit.

Looking forward to sharing more of my creations with her!

Peanuts tree (and Juliana)

Did these mini envelopes for Juliana's daughters.

Tried to make like the Charlie Brown Cmas tree, but I feel like my pine needles look more like palm trees. 😕😒

Made this one 3d (wood circle and puff paint)

inserts with pointed pen (need to work on my spacing!)

And here's Juliana's (I included the girls' in hers).

Then, I wanted to send one to her littlest (age 3?), as she was included on my PTEx, so I had to make a separate one for her:
LOVE how my pp turned out! (esp. the b)  :)

B-day (red) to Lynne

nothing special here, except for the card!

Got the idea from Zegacalligraphy on IG. Am loving her collage ideas!

Lynne's bday was in Oct. so I sent her another env. in addition to the Halloween bday themed one.

(my presents are off-center, but I'm still happy with it overall!)

Messed up bday to Amy

I saw on IG when it was Amy's bday and then, I got her for Nov. PTEx. I had another idea all set for her, but threw this together quick, as her bday had passed by the time the list was sent.

Don't know if you can make out the original name, but I didn't want to toss this env., so I tried to repurpose into a celebratory one.

However, I flipped it, so it looked more like a design, than a messed up name. (I also added script lettering within with a white Posca.)
BUT because it was flipped, when I addressed the back, and turned it back over to add postage, you can see from the top photo that I didn't even look at the design to add the stamp in the correct spot. (I just saw that blank opening, and stuck it there -- not even realizing her name was upside down.) #autopilot

When I saw my error, it was face-palm time. Plus, I hate wasting stamps. BUT I felt ok about adding another, as 1) I don't know if the po will be irritated with the addressing and 1st stamp placement and 2) not sure if I need extra postage anyway, as I sent her some watercolor envelopes (she told me her daughter gave her some wc's for a gift).

Lesson learned: SLOW DOWN (yeah, right!) and more importantly, forget about salvaging envelopes (well, this one anyway), as 1) I have plenty of red env.'s, and 2) I have plenty of env.'s period.

I do though hate ruining a good/fun color env., so I probably will still try to salvage some. But this one could have been given a big pass.

As always, hope she likes!

Owl to Maggie

This was another Owl idea I had for my 31 Env.'s Challenge.
Decided to use for Nov. PTEx, however...

...after drawing the owl, I immediately thought it'd be fun to match with lettering and then, I envisioned an M with the owl's face! (specifically, an uncial m). But I did not have any M exchangers. Enter Maggie!

I rarely get Maggie for PTEx. Don't know why. I get a lot of repeat exchangers, but never Maggie. SO how perfect to send her way! The only thing is I got excited and worked too quickly, so my letters didn't turn out up to par. Not bad though!

And here's the back.

This was an insert I wanted to send (b/c of Thanksgiving), but my other lettering wasn't turning out (or rather, I'm blaming the paper, as my lettering was decent enough; the ink just bled. -- waaaa.) Sent her a different Thankful insert (see fp blog on Nov. 23)

Owl (outline, purple) to Cathy

This was another idea I had for the 31 Env.'s Challenge, but thought I'd save for my Nov. mailings.

Matched colors to stamp.

Did insert to match.

However, the owl looks possessed. Not my intent -- better suited for Halloween.
Love my lettering and quote idea though!

Aaaannnnddd... of course, I messed up the 3d part. Sigh.

Leaves to Lina (Nov.)

I started this in Sept (planned to send for Oct), but then I started the 31 Env.'s Challenge.
So, it's her Nov. env!

3d leaf cut from some pretty paste paper.

Had and extra mushroom (from her Alice themed env.), so I pasted on the back, as it looked good with the green.

Tried to do a 3d leaf for the i. (a slight fail)

Love this metallic leaf.

3d pumpkin to Amy

I had this idea for my 31 env.'s challenge, but was too late, so I decided to send to Amy for November.

Scroll down to see closer view of pumpkin.

Autumn themed to Me.

Had so many ideas for October, but had already filled my outgoing lists, so I sent to myself!
(Yes, I know I can save for next year, but it's fun sending mail to myself too!)  😄

And, since I was in "goth" pointed pen mode, did this little insert:
