July 4th Throwbacks

Transferring over some old envies from previous blog, and came upon these:

Not sure the date on this one but b/4 2000. Callig marker for name and stamp for stars.

One to myself, using Architectural Lettering. (neuland variant)

Autumn themed to Me.

Had so many ideas for October, but had already filled my outgoing lists, so I sent to myself!
(Yes, I know I can save for next year, but it's fun sending mail to myself too!)  😄

And, since I was in "goth" pointed pen mode, did this little insert:

Flowers for me. :)

Decided to send myself a little mail from across town!

So glad I positioned the stamp where i did as I LOVE the postmark!

("Thinking of You")

Sky/Clouds to Me

Just a fun little env. to myself!
I've had this sky env. for years so I finally decided to pair mr. butterfly with it and send it to myself.

Used some stickers on the back.

Bday to Me, 3

Used the Happy Birthday stamp for this one.

So easy to match. Used my white Sakura callig marker, but had to go over, as it wasn't showing up well.

Happy Birthday to Me, 2

Another Cmas themed one!

Used a Crayola gel marker. Didn't turn out the best, so I had to add effects.
Not happy with the stamp placement. Wish I had thought to use the Celebration one and made it more colorful.

Happy Bday to ME! (1)

It's my Birthday Week (yes, that's right, Week!) so in honor of my self-love healing journey, I'm sending bday envies to me, me, me, ME. 😊😁💗

 First one:

I have another env. I decorated similar to this a few years ago so this year (pic at bottom), I decided to duplicate for my birthday!

It's for my "Mail to Myself" series. Call it vain if you want, I don't care! 😄😉
(Actually, I sometimes run out of recipients, and I'll make env.'s that are hard to part with, so might as well make use of them this way, right??)

Before stamp. Used an extra fine-point Posca marker for my name

Here is the backside. Had fun with it!

1st plain one (still have yet to send).

Embossed to ME

Have been doing some #mail2myself lately, and this is one of my creations from earlier this summer:

Backyard Games stamp where I tried using the ball as the dot for the i. Didn't turn out that great. However, my embossing did! Love how my folded pen name turned out too.

After going through the mail.

Scooby Stamps

This idea came from Janet. (see pic below)
I was in awe of her creativity with it, using a brown craft env. and black spots for the dog.
So, I decided to do my own version with a Crayola brush pen and brown craft wrapping paper.

original from Janet. SOOOOO cute & clever!

Yes, I did one for myself. The env. I used is "recycled" as it was a junk mail one. For the window, I wanted to do a 3d piece, but too much work and no time. So, I tried to re-create the flower from the stamp, and used stickers on the outside.

Close-up where I used a sticker as the dot for the i.

Fun sticker on the back.

po is po'd!

I shared this as a story on IG, and have to share here as well, as I found it rather funny, as well as a lesson learned.

I'm doing a series of "Mail to Myself", just for fun, so for Bike Month, decided to make on of my wrapping paper env.'s to me.

Thought it fun how it turned out, and although I think the address is fairly readable, I don't think the po thought so:

I had to laugh at how they marked up the whole env.! Maybe it's b/c the address is in a circle, and that requires extra postage??? but from now on, I will make sure to 1) leave plenty of white space and 2) write the address in a more linear manner. #lessonlearned

Rub-on Transfer Letters

I've had these letters for ages...no idea where I got them or when, but they've been sitting in my Alpha Stickers folder forever.

I first used them a few years ago on an env. to myself:

*I need to update the pic, as this is a clear env. in which I inserted a black b-day card to myself. Original post:

*UPDATE: Found it!

I got them out again recently, to use on black env.'s. Since I'm running low on certain letters, I have to get a little creative. If you look closely at some (i'll never tell -- haha!) you can see where I've made "makeshift" ones.

I'd love to know if Lina's arrived in-tact.

Have yet to finish and send to Jean.

Again, am wondering if Janet's arrived ok (notice her E). Also, I guess I forgot to take a final pic with a stamp, so i have no idea which I used (but am guessing the dotted Celebrate one, since I sent a New Year's 2022 insert.)

Tools of MY Trade.

Another envie idea (need to redo). Taking some fave tools for an env. design.

Addressed to me (with folded nib).

Here it is after I got it!

And I did the backside with a Pilot Parallel.
