so mad at myself as I forgot to take a pic of the insert on its own.  :/

It started out as an abstract bicycle piece I created a few years ago, but didn't like it, so it sat in my art room. Then, when going through all my stashes of papers, came upon it again and decided to make it into a "card".

I added embellishments and bright colors. I still wasn't real happy with it, but I kind of liked how it looked as an insert. But after lettering her name (folded pen and india ink), it looks too cluttered on the front. Plus, my perm markers aren't showing up great for addressing.

I addressed the back in black, hoping that would help, but I wasn't thinking, as I lettered over the removable strip, so then the address doesn't show up great on the back either. Grrrr.

Oh well. I'm sure I'll find out if she doesn't receive it.
