Haven't heard from Nele in a while, so I sent her Cmas env. mid-Dec., in hopes she'll receive in time for the New Year!
Sharing my mail art creations: Lettering, Decorative, and Postcards too. I usually post on #sailmailsaturday and #mailartmonday . *Please Note: All photos, text and artwork on this blog are original -- unless otherwise noted. All Rights Reserved. Non-traditional colors to Nele
Her name (and the insert below) is a take off on the letters I found on Pinterest, which I used for my 100 Day Challenge: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/284993482659056040/
In order to match the stamp, I had to use pink instead of red to compliment the green.

Misc. Cmas envies
Some misc. envelopes for the holiday season:
This idea came from (yet again!) something found on Pinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/284993482660835784/ (which I used for my 100 Day Challenge on IG)
Also did on black env. but have only added red dots for accents so far.
Below are various env.'s used as gifts for money to fam. members:
The candy cane is actually attached to the env.
Zig metallic brush marker
Red Zig metallic brush marker.
Back side (again, candy cane attached)
Sometimes, I will wrap the env. of cash in a box, to make it more fun to open, but this year, was pressed for time! So, I just did a bow.
Again, another Zig fudebiyori metallic brush marker.

Brush Tree to Irene (new)
Thought i'd try a brush tree on a brown craft env. Turned out rather nice!
For her name, i tried using a Crayola gel marker, but it didn't show up well, so I had to fill in with other white opaque markers. Just wish I could find decent white ink.
Close up of tree.
Back side. Glad I thought of this idea (the from), as i need to do this more. My "go-to" backside lettering is "hi" or "hello", so this is a fun alternative.
Before pic of env.

Sewn env. to Nanski
To whoever follows my blog: If you recall, last year, I made a ton of these envelopes from this lovely handmade paper.
I filled in the circular parts with metallic watercolors, and added other elements. Then I tried to letter the names in this dainty "foundational" hand with a pointed pen.
So, since Nanski and I are new to exchanging with each other, I thought I'd send one her way for the holidays!
Cannot remember if I sent an insert and if so, what it was. I'm thinking I didn't.

Name calligram tree to Lina
My env. for Lina this year.
Don't know how this came about, but got the idea to do her name in the shape of a tree. Then made an insert to match (somewhat. Not real happy with it.)
Hope she likes!

"Joy" to Shannon
This env. actually started out as a piece for our home, but I didn't like how it turned out, so I converted into an env. and sent to Shannon (Lina's mom).
Used my Ruling Writer, then added other accents.
Backside.
Did this piece last year, and made into an insert for her.
Drawn Caps to Sarah (IG/Etsy)
In mid-November, I ordered a card on etsy from a fellow IG-er, and she not only sent me the card, but some other goodies as well! So, I sent her a Thank You for Cmas:
These letters are based on some found on Pinterest (I explain in an upcoming post). Not real happy with this, as I was just experimenting and the paper is rather flimsy, but then I kinda like how it turned out.
Made this into a card for her.
An alpha tree based on those same letters.
