TY to my oldest! (Mother's Day Mondrian)

I sent this to my son at work as a thank you for the fun Mother's Day gift he got me (see below).

Did the cap letters a la Mondrian (to match the votive holder!)

Flowers to Nanski

Decided to send Nanski some funky abstract flowers with matching insert.

Lettering is a little off, but oh well.

Volunteer envies.

I'm still addressing monthly env.'s for my oldest's workplace, and this month, decided to mix things up.

Before, I was using an xtra fine Posca to letter the names, and this time, got out my brush pens.

I also added sparkle to them with my WoS brush.

The env.'s aren't the best quality, so it's impossible to use any tools aside from markers (or they'll bleed and feather.) so unfortunately, no pp work or fun inks.  :/

Oh well! This creates a fun challenge for me!

Split marker to Kate R (Apr. PTEx)

Was at a bit of a loss this month as to what to do for Kate, and then decided to get out my markers!

used an old split-nib callig marker and colored in parts to match the stamp (which went perfect with the env. color)

I also add some elements from the stamp, but in diff. colors.

April Showers...May Flowers (to Jean)

So, this one didn't turn out quite as envisioned, but I hope Jean appreciates the idea!

I wanted to do "April" in various hands, raining down, then spell out May with my letter flowers, but I don't like the "aprils". However, i LOVE the colors (env.) and stamp!

And for my letter, did another word border, "happy spring!" in marker.

Each letter of her name is a flower (you can see the "n" best).

Then for the insert, I did this quote, and the flowers the same (I like the "l" and both "o's" the best, but the m is nice too!)

So, PaperSource posted a new challenge ( https://www.instagram.com/p/DHl5jqxMKn5/?img_index=1  ) -- with a lot of fun prompts! -- however, they're for env. liners. Not a fan of those, so I was just going to do env.'s instead, however, I'm just feeling rather blah about it.

BUT I did do Day 2, "Pop Icon" for a fellow Harry fan.

Did this in a hurry, so not my best. And the printed pic of him isn't fully filled in, as my printer doesn't do the greatest job. However, hope she still likes, as i do!
