Varied lettering name trees

I started a new style for my env.'s this year, which was inspired by a card I sent to Nele:

and here is her env:
(I hate having to block the address, since it's part of the design.)

I then, as you can see, I got on a kick to send to a lot of people.

I addressed this one to both Jean and George, in order to fill up the space. (And I KNOW I added an extra design element -- a diamond --  to the lower left of the name -- by the W -- to balance out the design, but cannot find a pic! -- grrrr.)

Anyway, I had such fun with this that I did a lot of my env.'s this way! (I'm tempted to post them all here, but will space them out.)

Square env. to Shannon

So, I know I tried to cover up her address within the "tree", but forgot about the bottom. Which is OK, as her address is public b/c of the mail art call in 2020. (Just had to point that out!)

The address and name didn't quite work out in the tree shape, as I probably didn't plan it out as well as I should have. However, it's still nice!
(I wanted to include the address again at the bottom, just to ensure delivery. Esp. this time of year!)

with a letter and a fun way I did her name.

Then, I made her this minilope from a page of the po catalogue.

Included a brush tree to match!

Did this a few years ago, and touched up for her.

Finally, I re-gifted a pretty bookmark to her, as I'm a big e-reader now, and I know Shannon reads.

Holly to Lina

This is a (somewhat) dupe of last year:

I wanted to reverse the way the holly lay, and I love how delicate it turned out. Wasn't sure whether to color-in, so i decided to leave as-is. Thought it so pretty.

I kinda wanted to do an insert/card to match, but decided to send this stamp one I did. Next year, I'll make a matching set.

white tree on blk to Maggie

I wanted to do a black env., but it's always tricky with Cmas, so I tried to duplicate this tree below (from years past), However, my attempt was not the best.

Didn't turn out so well, as I used a slant tip Posca vs. my brush marker. (but let's hope she still likes!)

(Fudebiyori brush marker)

I then used the Fudebiyori brush for the card insert, but I liked it so much as B&W, I decided to leave as is vs. adding color.

Close up.

And some mixed ink on the back flap.

another for my non-traditional colors folder!

To Paul (France)

I saw a post on Jean's blog about Paul (who is looking to send snail mail) so I asked for his address, as I'm always looking for other lettering artist pen pals, but also, how fun it is to exchange internationally!

Sent him this last minute the week b/4 Cmas. (Hope it's not too late!)

Folded pen tree (Slant-tip Parallel Pen), and also for his name.

Enclosures: Gift tag, Experimental tree (3d puff paint) and another original varied letters piece.
(Brush pen for name)

Blue Tree to Lynne

Did a different take on the blue tree (stamp) and varied lettering with Lynne's env. as I matched the color to the tree and did her name in the various lettering shape.

Not as good as I wanted and as others I've done, but very festive! (and so mad my pp uncial didn't turn out b/c of my ink and nib! -- address)

Did a matching insert: "Peace, Joy and Love all through the year."

Again, it too is flawed, but i love how the brush "year" turned out!

And MORE blue trees!

I love matching the blue tree stamp!

Mixed it up just a bit for Karen: Did a blue brush tree (Wink of Stella glitter brush).

Closeup of tree. Love how it turned out!

Same design as others:  RW w/metallic ink

Close up of stamp!

Before adding color to tree (I like it just this way too).

Rudolph to Mary

Was able to get more of these snowglobe stamps, so I did my Rudolph theme again! (Using the O in her name for the red nose.)

I had this outlined deer saved in my Pinterest, and thought it perfect for the insert! (adding the red nose and quote)

The funny thing was I accidentally smeared the red circle (gel pen), and was so mad, but then just kept smearing it, to make it look like it was glowing!

Good save? I think so!  😆😊

*This is from another env, but am sharing here b/c of the theme:

More Blue Trees

As with a previous env. (to Desiree: https://snailmailingmadness.blogspot.com/2024/12/blue-tree-set-to-desiree.html ), found these blue trees fun to do for something different, and to match the stamp! (as the tree looks more blue than green in the stamp)

RW and metallic ink

Close up of stamp (this one is for Karen)

Insert. Again RW but acrylic ink.

Matching Set.

Naughty or Nice?

Sending this to Nanski (and may make another!)

Fudebyori metallic brush marker for her name.

Got this idea last year, but after Cmas. Couldn't wait to send this year!

Back idea

I had so many names for the Naughty list, but went with Cmas themed ones. Movies are: Die Hard (Yes, it's a Cmas movie!), Wonderful Life, Cmas Story, Year without a Santa Claus, Home Alone. (I also wanted to include The Dukes: Trading Places, but those are more obscure.)

Used my fun dual color Pentel brush.

Another Elf env.! (to my oldest at work)

I love sending to my son at his work. Hoping he gets this in time (I forgot about him taking time off!) and that he gets a good chuckle!

I got this idea for his name AFTER addressing.  😕 (using the serif as an elf foot)

Wish I had sent along with the other insert.

flip side!

I wanted to use this insert, but ended up using another (same saying though), as it was too flimsy.

Die Hard envie (last min. idea)

This one is going to a family friend, who we introduced to the Die Hard movies last year!)
#yesDieHardisaChristmasmovie

We also saw the one man play "Yippe Ki Yay", and he was given a "machine gun" sweatshirt.
SO, I thought he might appreciate this env. idea! 😆

Not the best rendering, as it would turn out a lot better done digitally. However, A+ for effort! 😉

Found the tree/building idea online, and it was my idea to add the explosion at the top in lieu of a star, as well as the falling stick figure! (and the ho ho ho at the bottom)

Close up of Hans.  😆

another close up

And Rudolph on the back!

Hope he likes! (am hoping to perfect for next year)
