(I actually had the thought to send to my oldest at his work, as on the inside I wrote, "A boy's best friend is his mother.", But I cannot find a pic of it. Will update soon.) -- fyi, he laughed when I showed him.

Day 30 (Bewitching), Black Cat

Although an outline, still works!

As with the one I did last year for Cathy ( https://snailmailingmadness.blogspot.com/2023/10/day-30-cats.html ), I tried to incorporate the tail into the name. (can you tell?)

Wish I had done the C. for the tail, then Canfield to the side. Oh well.

 

Red cobwebs to Grace

 The "Boo" in the center, was an accident. I smeared ink and when I tried to blot up, it was a mess. So I took a Q-tip and wrote Boo. (Scroll for before pic)

Day 28 (Bewitching) -- Poe

I did this last year, but didn't send, as the lettered quote seems to overpower the whole env. But am sharing today for Day 28 of Bewitching Env.'s!

and spelled it wrong on the back flap. (was on autopilot, not paying attention)

Reaper (to Amy)

Found this cute little reaper and thought it'd go perfect with the Day of Dead stamp!

Wasn't sure who I'd send to, but decided on Amy, and then, (of course!) the ink feathered, so the name was too close to the saying. Grrr.  (I should have just had the saying bigger and the name smaller with the address.)

So then, i just outlined the name with a glaze gel pen. Same with the "face". Kinda like how it pops.

I did this one last year too, so decided to send to Jean and George this year. (However, I didn't like how it turned out, so I just included in her other one -- green slime.)

Boo env. to Dominique

Lettered "Boo" from 31 Days of Boo in 2019.

Didn't like, so I turned it into an env. Worked out kinda perfect!

Added drippings for more Halloween-ish effects.

Kinda wanted to add a big spider to the back, but by this time, was a bit wore out from all my Halloween envies.

 Love drawing cobwebs! There's something so relaxing and fun about it.

For her name on the letter, used my dual black & red brush pen

SMC Hello Stranger, "Echos"

The theme this month is "Echos". Found this a bit tricky, but with Halloween, I wanted to do something eerie. Stumbled upon this quote instead, and tried to match env.

Env. is converted from lettering "Happy Halloween" in orange India ink, then coloring in the design. 

Name in purple metallic ink. Quote in pp and orange India ink as well.

How I did the design for the quote:\

Started with the word, "echo", then folded the paper together to give a mirror image of the word. (can you see "echo"?)

Wanted to make it uniform on both sides.

Flipped.

Matching the stamp colors, so it went on a purple env.

and again, perfect with the M in her name!

Slime to Jean (Day 6, Bewitching Env.'s)

Today's Prompt is Slime.

Hope this fits the bill!

Used a "Horror Movie" font (at least that's what it's called).

Metallic chartreuse w/c, then same kind of color pencil over.

I planned to do the zip code in the same font (big), but I kind like the "plainness" of it (although I feel it needs some purple).

Also, I wanted the dripping A to look more like slime dripping vs blood. Guess I could redo.

Fall Theme to Lina (Oct)

 For Halloween, sent Lina a "Merry not Scary" envie.

Got this idea last year, so am using for her! (mini owl, mini pumpkin and a leaf, all in pp).

And can I just saw HOW much I LOVE these stamps??? So far, the ones I've used have matched perfect with the env. colors. (think I'm gonna order more)
