To Jean R (elongated name)

Lately, I've been really into this elongated lettering
(probably stemming from my akim class with Julie W!)
I love how it can make cool designs, esp. when turned on the side (see some of my folded pen blog posts).

Did this for Jean R in April.

enclosed one of my word flowers.

then, did this (w/brush pen) for the SMC exchange.

And another (3d lettering) with elongated word border and quote.
(Messed it up/accidental smears, but turned into flowers! #happyaccident !)

then, did this name border letter for Shannon! (I like it a LOT better than how her env. turned out. #fail)

Similar (w/thumbprint)

I'm grouping these env.'s together, as they're all similar.

In May, I ordered notecard/postcards of my thumbprint piece (https://foldedpenfan.blogspot.com/2023/12/thumbprint-to-nele.html ) so i could send out to snail mail pals. Got them from Vista Print and omg, the quality of the env.'s is amazing! I used fountain pen ink (which, depending on the paper, can bleed/feather), but it held the ink SO well. (me so happy!)

The env.'s are rather "plain" b/c of the size, but I also like the simplicity of them.

Used my slant tip Parallel Pen.

Teeny Tiny Envie!

i LOVE teeny tiny envelopes. This is from L Nava (she always sends such fun ephemera).
Folded, it probably measures, 2 x 2.5 inches.

I'm so tempted to try and mail, just to see if it goes through. (So, I was thinking I'd make my own and try to mail to a friend, but I just looked up the smallest size that can be mailed, and it said: 3.5" h x 5" l)

Am wondering how to use this though! (Maybe I'll fold, lettering a name and include as an insert? BUT I don't want to part with it! SO adorbs!)

Here is a sampling of what she sends to me. Wish I could do the same in return, but I never have anything like this, other than what I'm given by others. BUT I just thought of some ideas to send her way!)

Another Bike to Amy

Last bike themed one for this year!

Amy got a 2nd bike theme one from me, as I wasn't quite finished with my (little cyclist) ideas.

Used her name as the "road" for my little cyclists.
Kinda hard to tell, but this one is going up.

And then down.

Mag. to Amy (Bike)

I don't really do that many magazine page env.'s any more, but I still have a few left. So I sent this one to Amy for Bike Month.

You can barely tell, but I used the spokes to create her name (on the front and back)

Sent this enclosure since the env. was rather meh.

Then, there was a tire on the back too, so I used metallic ink to try and make her name stand out.
I thought it perfect.  :)

Bike themed to Skip (Jean's son)

Jean put her son on the list for May and listed some of his interests, one of which is mountain biking!

So, of course, how perfect to do a bike themed envie for him.

At first, I was going to do similar to Susan's (using a slanted S for the road like hers), but went with this idea instead.

Bike to Susan

Totally forgot to post this for bike month in May!

Got this idea after starting the purple one for her (below). I found it such a fun idea.

Used the 2nd S in her name for the road. (My little biker needs some work though!)  ;D

Original.

"Thanks" to Nava

(yes, I'm going to start referring to Leslie N as Nava, so there is no confusion!)  ;D

So, in March, Miss Nava got a converted env. from me, one that originally said "thanks", as many thanks were indeed due her for not only exchanging with me, but for all the goodies she has sent my way!

I'm not much for sending "emphera", as I really don't have that kind of stuff on hand, but I do include inserts of art or lettering.

Finished env. FP (thanks) and pp name.

Funny -- here is a before pic of another I converted. (Wonder which posting?)

the only things I could send her way was this packet of alpha stamps I've never used. (originally bought for scrapbooking)
