Did this for my local friend Meredith. Went out for coffee to celebrate her bday on June 29.
Sharing my mail art creations: Lettering, Decorative, and Postcards too. I usually post on #sailmailsaturday and #mailartmonday . *Please Note: All photos, text and artwork on this blog are original -- unless otherwise noted. All Rights Reserved. Watercolor "Grows" (Janet)
Was experimenting with this one using my pp uncial (gouache).
(tape masking and watercolor too)
Inside was a bit darker (not what was intended!)
close up -- love how my lettering turned out!

watercolor stripes to Janet (set)
Lately, I've been creating matching env. & inserts. (And, I've been having so much fun doing so!) It started with me "re-vamping" what I send to Nele: I start out with the quote/lettering piece, then match the env. as best as I can. (sometimes not always the same colors, but same theme)
I decided to let it filter over to Janet, as well as the PTEx folks.
Watercolor stripes & dots w/India ink for the name.
Set together.

Dots & coffee to Valerie
The whole time I was doing this env., 2 songs were going through my head: "Valerie" by Steve Winwood, and "Valerie" by the Zutons.
This was a paper sample (from my graphic design days) in which the dotted design was already printed on. I added a few embellishments, and found the coffee stamp perfect, color-wise

Last Scooby stamp.
Leanne gets the last one of these!
She also got this part from the postage sheet.
And (inspired by my P&I letter creations from April), i created a letter to match:
Not the best italic, as my ink is too thin.

Puppet quote to Nele
Earlier this year, I started creating matching inserts & envelopes for Nele and here is another that went out this week.
Puppet theme.
I was so proud of this idea, and excited to send to her.
I hope that she can tell immediately that the red lines are string! (or rather, thread)
It was a bit of a long tricky process, but fun!
